MG In The Morning

 On-Air 6:00am – 9:00am

Q1: Who is your hero?

A: My mom. She is the root of my sense of humor.

Q2: What is your biggest fear?

A: Bombing. I mean, in the comedic sense. Being funny means everything to me. It always has.

Q3: What is your child’s proudest accomplishment?

A: My son Xavier is currently happy about learning video editing.

Q4: What are your hobbies?

A: I’m a DJ.  I’ve mixed music on-air, in nightclubs, at corporate events, and weddings around the United States. The ability to reach a large audience and move the crowd with music, is a dream come true.

Q5: What’s your favorite holiday?

A: Thanksgiving. Football and food. How can you beat that? Plus, my Dallas Cowboys play every year.

Q6: What shows do you record on the DVR?

A: I love John Oliver on HBO’s Last Week Tonight

Q7: What’s your favorite movie?

A: The Shawshank Redemption

Q8: Do you collect anything?

A: Music. I’ve been collecting bits and pieces like stitches in a tapestry that will never be completed. I think in my DJ library, I have just over 10,000 songs. I am constantly weeding out stuff I don’t need or use. It is my garden and I tend to it with great vigor.

Q9: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

A: I am a professional extrovert. Meaning, if need be, you can hand me a microphone and I will entertain 10,000 people, no problem.  As for my personal life, I can be a fly on the wall, never needing the spotlight.  I can be alone and never be lonely.

Q10: Who was your favorite teacher in school and why?

A: Ms. Donna Smith taught English at Alisal High School and used an exercise of free writing that introduced me to my love of words.
