1. What’s your favorite quality about yourself? Least favorite?
My favorite quality is my sense of humor. I’m funny. I’ve always been funny. I can make people laugh at a funeral on Sunday, Christmas Day.
2. What’s something you’re really bad at?
Marriage. I was almost married a 4th time.
3. What’s your favorite nickname someone has given you and how did you get it?
“MG” is my nickname. It is also my initials… Mark Garcia. Many years ago, I started working in radio and we had 4 guys named Mark (or a variation of) My boss wanted us to come up with something to use on air… I went with MG. It has been my “on-air” personality for 4 decades
4. If money were no object, what’s the first thing you would buy?
A new Mac Book Pro laptop. I DJ many weddings and I’m long overdue for an upgrade
5. What are you most grateful for in life?
My illness. Once I became ill, I was forced to appreciate my time. I cherish every moment and every opportunity.
6. What’s your favorite sport to watch?
The NFL Is King 🏈 Go Cowboys!
7. What brings you the most joy?
Scheduling my happiness. I have a short list of things that make my heart smile. I call them my “happiness” nouns. The people, places, and things I enjoy the most. I schedule little bits in every day. It is hard to have a bad day when you’ve already scheduled your happiness.
8. What’s the weirdest fact you know?
Honey is the only food that never spoils.
9. Who is your most embarrassing celebrity crush?
I’m never embarrassed by my crushes. Although they change frequently. I’m currently in a “complicated” relationship with Brie Larson.
