Each menu will feature great pairings of our local harvest wines with our local produce and coastal seafoods. This event gives visitors and locals the opportunity to sample the best of our Monterey Bay’s culinary excellence.
Monterey Bay is known for it’s local, seasonal produce, seafoods, fowl and artisian food products and meats all selected for this week’s dining experience. During this season, our tomatoes, squashes, greens, berries and wines are harvested in their peak flavors and prime quality to produce the very best in regional dining on the West Coast of California. “With the quality of local restaurants, population of innovative chefs and easy access to artisan farms and fresh seafood, the Monterey Bay area has a great story to tell,” said Dan Pulcrano, CEO of Metro Newspapers, which organized the promotion with media partners at the Monterey Weekly and Open Table, along with MCCVB, the Monterey Business Council, Carmel.com and local restaurants.
This year’s sponsor partners are edible Monterey Bay and KWAV Radio who will be promoting the on air giveaway of ‘dining experiences’ during the week.. The event will also sponsor the Carmel Art & Film Festival in it’s fourth year in downtown Carmel and will be presenting the week of October 10th – 14th in downtown Carmel and throughout the Monterey Peninsula (www.carmelartandfilm.com).
