The purpose of this EEO Public File Report (“Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following stations:
KIDD (AM) Monterey, California (FIN: 7721)
KWAV-FM Monterey, California (FIN: 7714)
The information contained in this Report covers the Period from August 1, 2013 to, and including, July 31, 2014
(The “Applicable Period”). The FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following information:
1. A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Stations comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable
2. For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy; (including, if applicable, organizations
entitled to notification pursuant to Section 73.2080c(1)(ii) of the new EEO Rule, which should be separately
identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number.
3. The recruitment source that referred the hiree for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable Period;
4. Data reflecting the total number of persons interviewed for full-time vacancies during the Applicable Period and the
total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and
5. A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(2) of the FCC rules.
Sections 1, 2 and 3, which follow have been designed, in the aggregate, to provide the required information. Please note that the numbers listed on Section 2 under the column entitled "Full-time Positions for Which This Source Was Utilized" refer to the number of the full-time job positions listed on Section 1.

Section 3: Supplemental Recruitment Activities Undertaken by KWAV-FM and KIDD-AM
Your Big ESPN Sports Break – DJ Search – October 20, 2013: The radio station conducted an exhaustive six-week search for a local personality to full a position as host for a local sports talk show on ESPN 630. The station used the opportunity to turn the process into a station promotion for ESPN 630. The radio station recruited candidates using a schedule of newspaper ads in the Monterey County Weekly Newspaper; by advertising on the station website and by airing a schedule of announcements on the air. The search culminated in live auditions at the Northridge Mall in Salinas where the public was invited to watch and participate. Employment applications were availalble to all candidates and those who showed up on the day of the live auditions.
Monterey Peninsula College Job Fair – May 8, 2014: Both KWAV and KIDD co-sponsored a community job fair at the local community college which attracted prospective employees from throughout the region. Radio station management was on hand to conduct immediate interviews to assess candidate suitability for positions in sales, programming and as interns.
Buckley Radio has an active internship program. Currently we have one intern from Pacific Collegiate
High School in Santa Cruz, Ca who works approximately 12 hours a week spending time in the sales,
Production, and Programming departments as well as Traffic management. Buckley’s internship
program provides real life experience in radio broadcasting.
4. On air announcements were broadcasted every month airing the following PSA that KWAV, KIDD and
are looking for organizations that regularly distribute information about employment opportunities
to job applicants or have job applicants to refer. If your organization would like to receive notification of job vacancies from our station, please notify the Business Manager at our office telephone number. Also stating KWAV, KIDD and are Equal Opportunity Employers and encourage minorities and females to apply.
5. EEO/FCC training is ongoing through discussion, updating forms and all changes are read and processed
upon receipt. The General Manager reviews policy with managers during weekly management meetings
and the remaining staff is informed through memos and job postings.
